Our Privacy Policy
The psychological service provided by Unwind Psychology is bound by the legal requirements of the National Privacy Principles from the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
Client information and files are stored electronically via a program called Halaxy. Information and data on Halaxy is stored securely and protected by 256-bit bank grade security and encryption, meaning patient records, notes, and payment information are protected to the same level as required by banks. Information is gathered as part of your assessment, diagnosis and treatment, and is only seen by the psychologist. The information is retained in order to record what happens during consultations and enables the psychologist to provide a relevant and informed psychological service to you.
You may request to see the information about you kept on file at any stage. The psychologist may discuss the contents with you and/ or give you a copy of the records. All requests by clients to access information recorded about them should be lodged via email at Unwindpsychology@gmail.com, and addressed to Andrew Halim. These requests will be responded to within 7 business days, and if required, an appointment made for clarification purposes.
